USC vs. Ohio State Game Week!

It's HERE! The most anticipated non-conference matchup of the season between our beloved Trojans, and those boys from the midwest, the Buckeyes.

Truth be told, after watching tlOSU ("The LITTLE Ohio State University") waffle around with the Ohio U. Bobcats to a whopping 26-14 win (the Luckeyes were behind 14-12 at the end of the third quarter), it seems like USC has already won this game mentally. The Trojans are in the Buckeyes' heads. There is now serious doubts in the minds of these OSU players since they struggled against a very mediocre MAC team, how are they going to handle a behemoth in the Trojans? They aren't. I watched the Ohio OL manhandle the OSU D, and even when Boeckman had time for the Buckeyes, he didn't do too much as a QB. The Buckeyes scored only one offensive TD, one. AT home. The other was a punt return in which the official missed a blatant block in the back.

Ohio had 5 turnovers to OSU's one, but the Buckeyes couldn't do squat. Furthermore, their "Golden Boy," Terrelle Pryor, only got three snaps when the game was in doubt, and rode the pine the rest of the game until about 3 minutes left. They never got the kid the chance to get prepared for the Trojans, so I doubt we'll see him very much in L.A. No way they put this kid in the pressure cooker of the Los Angeles Coliseum with so much at stake.

The pressure of the USC game has gotten way too much for Ohio State. Their whole manhood is riding on this game, and because they will be so tense, they will get flattened by Pete Carroll and his boys come Saturday. Especially when Ohio State players like WR Ray Small starts giving out good bulletin board material.

I expected a 10-14 point USC win on Saturday before the OSU/Ohio game. But now, with the Buckeye performance, the doubt in their minds, Ray Small's comments, and the fact that USC always seems to rise up for its biggest challengers (Texas notwithstanding), I am thinking Pete and Co. will win by 21+ now, just to make a statement, and get a HUGE leg up in recruiting on Tressel.

Fight On and BEAT THE BUCKEYES!
