One for the Roses!!!

Hey Triad Trojans!

This is IT! After feasting on Sundevil Pie for Thanksgiving dessert, and watching the "Powders" beat up on Dixon-less Oregon, the Trojans are set up for an improbable run at the Roses. What seemed like a fantasy a few weeks ago has come back to reality in this, the wackiest college football season I have ever seen.

Let's ALL share in the possibility of returning to Pasadena on New Year's Day but getting together, on Saturday at the Fox and Hound in Winston-Salem. Wear Cardinal, and be ready to cheer on our beloved Trojans as we salute our seniors in their last game at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum against our hated rivals, the UCLA Bruins. After last year's disappointing loss at the Rose Bowl, which cost the Trojans a shot (and probable victory) at Ohio State Buckeyes for the National Championship, I am confident coach Pete Carroll will have the Trojans chomping at the bit to exact a heavy dose of revenge.

Game time is at 4:30 PM

Please RSVP to me at GSOTrojan@aol.com

BEAR-ly Getting Out of the Rain

Hey Trojans, for those of us who missed the Cal game, it was a rain-soaked doozy! Our beloved Trojans eeked out a hard fought victory over the retro-uniformed Kommie Kal Bears 24-17. At 8-2, and number 11 in both polls and the BCS the Trojans are still poised to make a BCS bowl game (Rose, if Oregon goes to the BCS Championship Game) by beating the Arizona State Scumdevils on Thanksgving night, then avenging last season's debacle against the bRUINS of UGLY.

My apologies for being a little behind on the postings, having a 5-month old directs my energies elsewhere most of the time now...I'm sure ya'll understand.

Since the ASU game is on Thanksgiving Day, we'll pass on that as a group, BUT the BIGGIE against UCLA will go on, and I plan on being there with my wife, Sylvia, and my son, Ethan. The game will be seen in Winston-Salem, probably at the Fox and Hound unless Rebecca Shore wants to host it again. Check back here for a definitive answer soon.

Also, since we have a BYE this week in football, is there any interest in getting together to watch the USC/USC basketball game somewhere? It is Saturday, Novemeber 17 from Columbia, SC at 8:00 PM, so email me at GSOTrojan@aol.com if you are interested in watching the game.
