USC vs. UVA In One Month!!!

Football season is just around the corner!

Today is an annual ritual, when the battle colors start to fly so all my neighbors here in the Gate City can see the Cardinal and Gold grace my home. It flys lone and proud amongst the many UNC, NC State and Wake Forest flags (Duke flags don't come out until basketball season), along with a smattering of Notre Dame flags, a Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama and Florida flag or two. We actually have a really good mix of followers of college football in my community, so it is fun to walk the dogs at night, stop by a friend''s house and talk football.

If you still need USC/UVA tickets, there are still plenty available and the prices are dropping to low $70's. Since face value is $50, I don't think they'll get below $60 before the game, and most of the USC sections are going for under $90, for now.

This week we'll begin final plans for the caravan up to Charlottesville, starting with Trojans in Georgia, who'll link up with Queen City Trojans in Charlotte, then link up with Triad/Triangle Trojans in Greensboro for lunch, then car painting, then all of us will caravan up Hwy 29 into (friendly) enemy territory displaying our Trojan spirit for all the good folks in Virginia to see.

We'll also make plans for Saturday's tailgate (we have been invited to join some UVA fans in a joint party, which worked out very well for the USC/Auburn game a few years ago.) regarding location, food, drinks, etc.

This is going to be a BLAST! Hope you are getting "jacked."

Fight On
