Homecoming Week

Hey Trojans:

I'll take the "Dubya in the Desert," and maintain our position at the top of the Pac-10.

On the downside, the Buckeyes didn't help our cause by losing to Penn State at the Horseshoe. The Trojans really needed PSU to lose to help their cause, and with as bad as the B-10 has been, the Nittany Lions should cruise the rest of the season unscathed. This does not bode well for USC's chances to get into the BCS Championship Game. Truth be told, I would love to see Oregon State win out, USC get to the top 4 in the BCS rankings, then get invited to the Sugar Bowl to play an SEC team there. If another B-10 team makes the BCSCG, it will be one of the lowest rated bowls of the season. A USC/SEC tilt...MONSTER ratings!

This week is Homecoming Week and we face the worst division one team in the country in the soon-to-be Ty Willingham-less, Washington Huskies. Don't get me wrong, I like Ty, and any coach who can get Stanford to the Rose Bowl in the BCS era can't be THAT bad. In his defense, the Huskies schedule the last three years has done him NO FAVORS, it has been ranked in the top 5 toughest every season since TW has been there. Not an easy task for a coach trying to rebuild a program. Anyway, the game is scheduled for 6:30 PM and will be broadcast on Fox Sports. Since the rest of the Trojan games are in California, and Pete Carroll has NEVER lost a game in November at his time in Troy, things look good from here on out with home games against Cal and Notre Dame, along with the Husky tilt. Enjoy.

Fight On!
