Just a quick FYI, we will be unable to attend either the Oktoberfest (damn, I wanted to sport my lederhosen and my hutte!) or the USC/Oregon game at Fox and Hound.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't go! GO, have a GREAT time and cheer on our Trojans!!

It's DUCK Season!!!
Hey Trojans!
It's time for the Pac-10's most contentious rivalry between Pete Carroll and Mike Belotti. The Ducks are coming off a beatdown of Wazzu, and the Trojans are limping back home after a(nother) devastating loss in Corvalis (the second in a row). Here is a lil' YouTube clip of Pete telling Belotti off...(NSFW)
After seeing 3 other top 10 teams fall over the weekend in Georgia, Florida and Wisconsin, there is still PLENTY of football to be played and despite what the pundits say, nothing is close to being decided yet.
There is a fun event in Winston-Salem prior to the USC/Duck tilt, the Triad German Club's annual Oktoberfest. Since my wife is German, we may make it out that way for the festivities.

Oktoberfest & Trojan Football!!
Hallo Meine Freunden!
How about a FUN night of Bier, Brats, Oom Paa Paa bands and TROJAN FOOTBALL?!?!
The Triad German Club is holding its annual Oktoberfest in Winston-Salem on Saturday, October 4 at 6:00 PM. Then, our beloved Trojans host those quacky Oregon Ducks at 8:00 PM. This could be a good opportunity to have a little German fare (remember, my wife is a full-blooded German) before settling in and watching our Men of Troy de-feather the Ducks.
The Oktoberfest will be hosted at the Millenuium Center, 101 5th Street, downtown Winston-Salem. Here is a MAP.
