Hey Trojans, I have a lodging update for you.
I was able to get a room at the Waynesboro Hampton Inn for a AAA rate of $102.60/night for a non-smoking King room. I have stayed at Hampton Inns before, and they are clean, comfortable and I LOVE the chocolate chip cookies they have available at night.
Waynesboro in just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, in the heart of the mountains of the Shenandoah Valley, which I hear is gorgeous, and it is only about 25-30 minutes from Charlottesville. There is also an outlet mall nearby (for the wives) and some good restaurants. Anyway, I thought I'd pass along that info since it seems everything good in C'ville is already booked.

USC/Virginia Tickets Still Available
According to Alexis P., there are still UVA "Season Kickoff Packages" available. Apparently, UVA released limited amounts of the packages so they wouldn't be sold out in a few hours. While I can't guarantee tickets will still be available when you call, at least there may still be some hope.
We are still going to try and coordinate with other Carolina Trojans to either caravan, or tailgate together at the game. Maybe we'll even get together and have a "car painting party" (there is a carpool lot near my house off Hwy 29 which goes right to Charlottesville) with some water based paints to proudly display the Cardinal and Gold on our way up to the game?
I am trying to find some accommodations to stay a night or two up in Virginia as I have a feeling the game will be an 8:00 PM kickoff for prime time, so I don't feel like driving 3.5 hours home at midnight. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Don't forget to email me at GSOTrojan@aol.com if you get tickets so I can have you on the mailing list for the caravan/tailgate

AWESOME New Campus Center
For those of you who do not know, USC is in the midst of an incredible building project, tearing down the old Commons area and building a breathtaking structure known at the Ronald Tutor Campus Center. Here are some renderings of the project:

Of course, for $1,000 or more, you can be permanently associated with the project with your name on display on the donor's wall...not a bad investment for such an outstanding project.

The view from my USC/Virginia seats
Section 519, Row K...not bad at all! By the way, the bottom right corner of the end zone points to where the Spirit of Troy and more importantly, the Song Girls will be.
Again, if you got tickets to the game, write me at GSOTrojan@aol.com, and we'll see if we can caravan up from the Triad (my house is in Reedy Fork Ranch, just off HWY 29 which goes straight up to Charlottesville, about 3.5 hours away).
Here's who I have going so far:
Andrew M. (NC) - 2.5
Bob B. (NC) - 5
Alexis P. (NC) - 2
Bob B. (SC) - 2
FYI - The hotels in Charlottesville all seem to be booked right now, so I am looking for alternate lodging, maybe up by the Blue Ridge Pkwy, which is relatively close by. If anyone knows of any place nice near Charlottesvile, let me know. Thanks!

BREAKING NEWS!!!! USC/UVA Tix
Hey Trojans, GREAT news regarding UVA tickets! The University of Virginia is offering a "Kickoff Mini-Package" for $101 which includes USC, Richmond and East Carolina games (which I will donate my Richmond and East Carolina games to the USO in Virginia to give to some deserving servicemen/women). You may also consider the local Boys'Girls Club as well. The price is right and I am sure these tickets will go VERY FAST!
This offer begins TODAY, Thursday May 22 at 5:00 PM EDT. Here is the LINK.

[UPDATE]
I purchased two tickets in the upper part of Section 519, which is the South Endzone, right near the Spirit of Troy's seats.
Get your tickets!! Those who buy them, email me at GSOTrojan@aol.com and maybe we can all set up a caravan of cars to drive to Charlottesville.
